It’s the season for pumpkin patches in the Bay Area and, if you haven’t noticed, that’s kind of a big deal around here. I know what you might be thinking—sure, you could easily snag a couple decent pumpkins on your next trip to the grocery store. But is that really how you want to play it?

For me, visiting a pumpkin patch is one of those things where the journey really is the destination, as cliché as that sounds. It’s about the experience being outside with friends and family, the crisp fall air, corn mazes and tractor rides. It’s about making memories.

We love connecting folks with our local farmland. It’s part of the reason we’re working so hard to protect it. So, to help you find that perfect pumpkin, here are some of our favorite patches on the Peninsula and in the South Bay.

Happy hunting!
