We are so grateful for our wonderful volunteers who are on the front lines of POST’s mission to protect open space and local landscapes. In joining this dedicated team, you’ll find a community of like-minded friends with shared values.

Whether you’re caring for some of our properties as a Land Volunteer or leading community hikes as an Ambassador, our volunteers play a crucial role in helping people understand the importance of our work, our goals and the challenges facing land conservation in our area.

We have a regular schedule of one-time public volunteer events occurring monthly, hosted in tandem with some of our non-profit partners. Explore our events page to learn about and sign up for our next upcoming volunteer events!

Ambassador Program

 Spread the word about POST and help at our community events and hikes.

General Volunteer Requirements

  • Attend an orientation and training events (when offered).
  • Have strong written/communication skills.
  • Be able to work in various environments and with a variety of people.
  • Willingness to travel to protected properties and/or community events.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Some volunteer teams require a higher level of physical ability, as some work can be strenuous. Please read all requirements for specific teams.
