Join Peninsula Open Space Trust and Latino Outdoors to celebrate community and culture while connecting with nature. This event will take place in person on Saturday, May 11th, at Hapa’s Brewing Co. in San Jose at 5:00 pm.
Designed exclusively for this event, Nature Lotería is a customized game inspired by the traditional Mexican Lotería game, which is similar to bingo! We look forward to unveiling our beautiful, one of a kind Loteria cards. Designed by local San Jose artist David Cipres, they feature stunning illustrations of the Bay Area and California plants and animals. It’s an easy game to learn, and while playing you’ll discover the wonderful biodiversity while celebrating Mexican culture.
What is Lotería? Lotería (Spanish word meaning “lottery”) is a traditional Mexican board game of chance, similar to bingo, and is played on a deck of cards instead of numbered ping pong balls. Each card depicts a unique image, representing various aspects of Mexican culture, folklore, and nature.
Join us for a fun, interactive game of Nature Lotería and a chance to win prizes, enjoy live music from San Jose Cumbia artist Philthy Dronez interact with partner booths, and eat food and drink local beer. This venue is family, kid, and pet-friendly. We’ll have pan dulce and aguas frescas ready for you to enjoy! All are welcome! There will be additional food available for purchase.

Parking
There are spaces available near the corner of Auzerais and Lincoln Ave in addition to a larger parking lot behind the building. We ask guests to refrain from parking in the front loading area by the food trucks.
