(Palo Alto, Calif.)—Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) announced the selection of Marti Tedesco as its new senior director of marketing and communications. Tedesco has more than 20 years of experience spanning sales, channel marketing, product marketing and branding as well as all aspects of offline and digital marketing.
“POST is entering an exciting time as we approach our 40th anniversary,” said POST Vice President of Advancement Jen Lynch. “We’re planning some new initiatives and are excited to have Marti on board to help tell our story.” Tedesco previously served as the senior director of marketing for Baynote, Inc. in San Jose, a leading provider of personalized customer experience solutions. She was a founding partner of Palo Alto-based ReadyToPlay, Inc., the global leader in digital music conversion services.
“I grew up at the base of Windy Hill, and it gave me a special appreciation for the open spaces POST has worked so hard to protect,” said Tedesco. “I believe the character of this area would be very different if it weren’t for the vision of POST staff and supporters. I’m honored to be able to contribute to that legacy.”
Like many nonprofits, POST is striving to achieve the balance between relationships with its current long-time supporters and cultivating relationships with the next generation of conservationists.
“Regardless of where you live or work on the peninsula and south bay, we all share an appreciation of the beautiful landscapes in our area. But it’s easy to find people who lack a connection to those open spaces and the outdoors,” said Tedesco. “I’m excited to reintroduce the important conservation work POST is doing to the next generation of peninsula and Silicon Valley residents and help them to engage more fully with the protected natural open space that is available to us all.”
A resident of Portola Valley, Tedesco holds a bachelor’s degree in international economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
