Every year, POST organizes a series of special outings for donors who make annual gifts of $1000+ or have included a gift for POST in their trust or other plans and are part of our Open Space Legacy Society. These popular events take place on POST-protected lands, many of which are not yet open to the public. When you join us for these walks, you’ll see how we’re putting your donation dollars to work. You can also mingle with fellow POST supporters while enjoying a spectacular day out on the land.
If you have questions about the next Walks & Talks, please email Marisa Martin.
A part of the Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve, Blair Ranch looks like a piece of the Old West where cattle graze the hillsides and cowboys work the land.
Located on POST’s Cloverdale Coastal Ranches property, Wilbur’s Watch is dedicated to Colburn Wilbur. This property is also home to Pigeon Point Light Station, an iconic 144-year-old landmark.
This 353-acre ranch in La Honda features grasslands, redwoods, and sweeping views of POST-protected Mindego Hill, Cloverdale and Butano Farms.
This secluded 1,065-acre Los Gatos property was almost the site of luxury homes and a golf course before POST and Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District stepped in to preserve this redwood forest and wildlife habitat.
Just south of Half Moon Bay, this 3.6-mile section of the California Coastal Trail meanders along coastal bluffs and offers views of rich farmland, pocket beaches and the Pacific Ocean.
We occasionally offer POST donors something extra special, like picking apples at Mountain Meadow, the private orchard on the historic Phleger Estate in Woodside.
