Many would call Wendell Berry the grandfather of organic farming in America. Others would call him an activist, a poet or a prophet. His writing is grounded in the notion that one’s work ought to be rooted in and responsive to one’s place. His books include the novel Hannah Coulter, the essay collections Citizenship Paper, Becoming Native to this Place, and The Way of Ignorance. Berry’s latest works include The Mad Farmer Poems, Whitefootand Our Only World.
