Why We Love Potrero Nuevo Farm

In the fall of 2015, POST worked with Christine Pielenz and Bill Laven to protect their 300-acre Potrero Nuevo Farm with an affirmative agricultural easement. This farm is located in Tunitas Creek Valley of Half Moon Bay, and they make crop rotation, cover cropping and organic compost an integrated part of their operation. The easement protects the farm from development and ensures a portion of the property will always remain in agricultural production.

With the property’s rich soils, rolling hills, organic produce, migratory bird habitat, two wonderful owners and a popular bike hut… there are so many reasons to love this farm, we have listed our top ten in this digital book.
